Application: For processing unbarked, pure wood - the condition (hard, soft, frozen, etc.) and type of wood to be sawn must be specified in the order.
Design: Machine saw bands are supplied straightened, tensioned and sharpened. (ready for use)
Clamping: We commonly supply them with hardened guide tabs with a width of 35, 30, or 25 mm, with toothed tabs and with straight perforation (ESTERER), or without bars.
The main benefits of Stellite gang saws include:
1. Longer service life of the cutting edge (3-6 times longer when compared with conventional design)
2. Lower energy demand during sawing
3. Higher quality of surface of resawn material
4. Higher dimensional and shape precision of resawn material
5. Possibility to adapt cutting edge geometry to specific conditions (machine type, timber type, cutting conditions, etc.)
6. Thanks to better sawing ability (i.e. ability to penetrate into material), lower thermal stress of the cutting edge during sawing
7. Possibility of repeated tool cutting edge welding after grinding away of the complete overlay layer (after approximately 15–20 sharpening operations)
8. Reduction of downtimes required for tool replacement due to blunting
9. Improved machine performance thanks to increased feeding rate when replacing set or swaged tools
